Ecozone Soapnuts are economical and effective. They replace toxic detergents. The 300 gram soap nut pack is enough for 100 washes and / or for 300 small washes.
Soapnuts are a 100% natural detergent with an unsurpassed washing power. Don’t be fooled by all the expensive products on offer. The natural soap found in these nuts is called saponins. This is a natural cleaner that works as a surfactant. The stains of the dust and dirt are left behind in the washed-out water. These substances from the wax nuts form a soap-like solution with unsurpassed washing power. The peel of the wax nuts has been used by the Indian population for centuries as a detergent for washing cotton, wool and silk.
These nuts are soft for both clothing and skin. This makes them ideal for people with sensitive skin, eczema, allergies and psoriasis. Because they are so mild, they are perfect for baby clothes and even cotton diapers. They are also ideal for septic water systems. Unlike commercial soaps, which contain artificial foaming agents, soap balls do not produce many bubbles or foam. While commercial detergents and soaps have been heavily marketed around that visual, foam is simply not an indicator of cleaning power.
The wax nuts can be used on all fabrics and at all temperatures from 30. C – 90 C. If you need to take stains out first, try Dr. Bronner’s soap.
Do not immediately discard the nuts after one wash. You can reuse them a few times. When they are completely used up, then you can throw them away. No, not in the trash, but in your compost.
