Dr. Bronner Soap
Dr. Bronner fair trade soap is 100% true pure-castile soaps, free from SLS. The high-foaming lather comes from their high coconut oil content, which creates a more luxurious and richer lather than any detergent could ever produce. “Pure-Castile” is your guarantee that what you’re using is a genuinely ecological and simple soap, not a complex blend of detergents with a higher environmental impact due to the waste stream created during manufacturing and the detergents slower biodegradability. Unfortunately, many synthetic detergent blends are deceptively labeled as “Liquid Soap” even though they contain no real soap whatsoever.
Unlike most commercial soapmakers, who distill the glycerin out of their soaps to sell separately, Dr. Bronner retain it in their soaps for its superb moisturizing qualities. They super-fat their bar soaps for a milder, smoother lather. Furthermore, they use natural vitamin E from and citric acid (both from non-GMO sources) to protect freshness. Dr. Bronner do not add any chelating agents, dyes, whiteners, or synthetic fragrances, only the purest certified organic essential oils.
